Privacy notice
What this site does with information about you, which is very little: it stores none of your answers and sets at most one cookie, for the language you choose.
Who is responsible
- Operator
- LivingBits B.V.
- Contact address
- contact@livingbits.nl
The operator named above is the controller for the personal data this site processes, within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The answers you give
The questions ask for years of birth, citizenships, country of residence, income and savings in bands, why you are moving and what matters to you. They ask for no name, no address, no exact date of birth and no documents.
Your answers are kept in the address of the page, in your own browser. Each time you open a report your browser sends that address to the server, which computes the report and then forgets it: the answers are not written to a database, a file or a log. If you bookmark or share the link, the answers travel with it, and that copy is yours.
The server log
For security and to keep the site running, the server logs each request with its time, its method, the page path without anything after the question mark, the response status and its size. It does not record your IP address or the answers in the address. The log is deleted after 14 days.
Counting page views
This deployment uses no analytics. Nothing about your visit is counted beyond the server log described above.
E-mails you send us
If you write to us with a correction, a question or feedback — through the contact form or to the address in the Imprint — we receive what you send, including your e-mail address if you give it. We use it only to reply and to act on what you reported, and we delete it once that is done and no later than twelve months after the last exchange.
The contact form
The contact form sends us, as one e-mail from our own mailbox: the topic, your message, the page you wrote from, your e-mail address if you give one, and your answers only if you tick the box. The site stores none of it — no database, no log, no analytics; the server’s log records only that a message was sent or why it was not. The mailbox is provided by one.com A/S, which processes the e-mail for us. An address you give is used only to answer you.
Who processes data for us
Hosting: one.com A/S. Page-view counting: the provider described above, if any. E-mail: one.com A/S, which provides the mailbox your messages are delivered to. Each processes data only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement.
On what basis
Computing a report from the answers your browser sends is the service you asked for (GDPR article 6(1)(b)). The server log, the page-view count and the language cookie rest on our legitimate interest in a secure site that works in the reader’s language and in knowing which pages are read (article 6(1)(f)). Correspondence rests on your choice to write to us. The site makes no decision about you with legal or similarly significant effects; a report is information for you to weigh.
Outside the European Economic Area
Where a provider named above processes data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under the safeguards of chapter V of the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You may ask for access to personal data we hold about you, for its correction or deletion, for restriction of its processing, to object to it, and for a copy in a portable form. Because no answers are stored, in practice this concerns messages you have sent us. Write to us through the contact form or to the address in the Imprint.
If you believe your data is handled unlawfully, you may complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), or to the supervisory authority of the country where you live.
